What Is Islam Makhachev’s Net Worth in 2026?
Islam Makhachev has an estimated net worth of approximately $6 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. This figure represents a published estimate rather than an officially confirmed financial statement.
His wealth mainly comes from his professional fighting career. UFC fight purses, championship bonuses, performance awards, and commercial partnerships contribute to his income.
However, calculating a fighter’s net worth requires more than adding reported fight payments. Taxes, training expenses, management fees, personal spending, investments, and other financial commitments also affect the final amount.
Makhachev has not publicly released a complete breakdown of his assets or earnings. Therefore, the $6 million figure offers an indication of his reported financial standing, not a verified account of his wealth.
How Does Islam Makhachev Make His Money?
Makhachev earns most of his professional income through mixed martial arts. His championship status and international popularity have increased his earning opportunities.
Several sources contribute to his financial profile.
UFC Fight Purses
Fight purses represent a major part of his income. Fighters negotiate compensation with the UFC, and the amount can depend on their contract, popularity, ranking, and championship status.
A notable example came at UFC 311 in January 2025. Athletic commission disclosures listed a $200,000 purse for his fight against Renato Moicano. However, that figure did not necessarily include every payment or additional benefit connected to the event.
Performance Bonuses
The UFC also rewards fighters for outstanding performances. Makhachev has collected several bonuses during his career, including awards for Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night.
These payments add to his regular fight compensation. They also reward the finishes and memorable performances that help build a fighter’s reputation.
Sponsorships and Brand Partnerships
Makhachev has also worked with commercial brands. Public reports have connected him with companies such as Monster Energy and other sports and lifestyle businesses.
These partnerships provide opportunities outside the Octagon. However, the companies involved do not publicly disclose all contract values, so their exact contribution to his wealth remains unknown.
How Much Does Islam Makhachev Earn Per Fight?
There is no confirmed public figure for Makhachev’s current fight salary. The UFC does not routinely publish complete fighter contracts, and championship compensation can include several separate payments.
His disclosed $200,000 purse for UFC 311 provides one documented example. However, it should not serve as a complete estimate of his earnings from every fight.
His compensation may include negotiated purses, promotional payments, performance bonuses, and other contractual benefits. Pay-per-view arrangements can also affect the earnings of major UFC stars, although Makhachev’s individual terms remain private.
As a result, online reports that assign him a fixed salary for every fight should be treated as estimates rather than confirmed figures.
Islam Makhachev’s Biggest Career Paydays
Makhachev’s financial profile grew as he moved from a rising lightweight contender to a UFC champion. His biggest career opportunities came through high-profile title fights.
Makhachev’s matches against Alexander Volkanovski and Dustin Poirier attracted significant attention. His championship victory over Charles Oliveira also marked a major turning point.
In particular, his UFC 302 fight against Poirier in June 2024 generated substantial media attention. Makhachev submitted Poirier in the fifth round and defended his lightweight championship.
Later, he moved to welterweight and defeated Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 322 in November 2025. That victory gave him championship status in a second weight division and increased his commercial profile.
Although several media outlets have published estimated payouts for these events, the UFC has not confirmed his complete earnings from each fight.

After Khabib retired from professional competition, he continued supporting Makhachev as a coach and mentor. Their partnership has remained an important part of Makhachev’s public career.
